Your library of cases and tutorials

If you have resources and want very contemporary cases in English, the most traditional base is the Harvard Business Review, which sells cases at a special price for registered professors. You can use the option to view a sample case for free. However, this guarantees the teacher's access to the content, but does not allow its sharing, which makes it unfeasible to use it as material for classes. To use it as pedagogical material, teachers would need to pay a fee for each student who will use the case in the classroom activity, which is around USD 7.

In the reality of federal universities like ours, although we want to work with management teaching cases, we do not have the financial resources to do so. For these cases, we bring tips from international bases such as MIT Sloan and the The Case Center . They offer some free cases (usually a selection of older cases) and some paid cases. If you are interested in cases in other languages, especially English, these sources are quite interesting. They allow a look at more global companies.

If your focus is on national cases, the most well-known databases in Brazil are free. INSPER and ESPM, two private HEIs based in São Paulo, offer case centers written by their faculty. INSPER It only requires a registration for you to download the cases, in which it is necessary to indicate the intended use. One of the advantages of INSPER's cases is that they are available translated into English. The ESPM It has an older case bank and with an eye on the specialty of advertising and marketing. The ENAP provides a repository focused on Brazilian public management. And the SGS Cases offers cases published in the journal, covering a wide variety of topics. They are sources for researching free cases for their disciplines.

The ADM Casoteca is also a free and free resource for use in the teaching of Administration. The cases are written by professors and students from the University of Brasilia, linked to a project that seeks to innovate learning and share this with society more broadly.
