Casoteca's 2025 book on the air!
Casoteca ADM is launching its new book:
Teaching cases: problem management and solutions in Administration, organized by Eluiza Watanabe and Helena Costa
ISBN 978-65-995949-2-2
The book has teaching cases produced by Casoteca ADM, compiled in a didactic and organized way.
The ebook is free, produced by the 32 teachers and students involved with the project and available on our website.
The organizers explain:
There are 12 new cases, eight developed in 2023, and four in 2024. This work represents the effort and continuity of the main objective of the Casoteca, to strengthen a pedagogical practice centered on the analysis of management problems and the student's protagonism.
The content of the book covers the various areas of administration: finance, strategy and innovation, marketing, public administration and social management, production, logistics and information management, organizational studies and people management.
There was care and concern with the diversity and timeliness of the topics addressed in the cases, such as crisis management, the situation of the homeless population, artificial intelligence and internationalization of companies. In addition, one case was translated into English.
The Casoteca devotes special attention to bringing cases that reflect the complexities of our time to the training of future managers. It also allows us to build bridges with other courses at the University, sewing interdisciplinary knowledge.
During the process, the students' protagonism was visible. They were involved in every step of the way and really engaged in delivering the best to readers. Students were able to work in partnership with professors from the Department of Management and develop skills such as writing, teamwork, and critical skills.
Often, the authors-students brought their own experiences into the cases, sharing with colleagues and professors perspectives they acquired throughout their undergraduate studies. In this way, we grease the triad of teaching - research - extension, so precious for the construction of knowledge.
